Nerita H. Davis Scott is a retired veteran and military family advocate with over 20 years of experience supporting service members, veterans, and military families through leadership, facilitation, and community engagement. She served in both the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard, with roles spanning medical services, human resources, recruiting and retention, and Warrior Transition Battalion operations. Her military experience includes deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as extensive work assisting wounded warriors and their families during recovery and transition.
Following her military service, Nerita continued her commitment to the military community in civilian leadership roles, including serving as a Soldier and Family Readiness Specialist with the Georgia Department of Defense, where she supported National Guard families throughout the deployment cycle. She also served as a Public Relations Specialist for Citizen-Soldier Magazine, acting as a liaison between Army National Guard units and national leadership. She currently serves as a Facilitator with Gratitude America, leading trauma-informed retreats that promote resilience, wellness, and peer connection for veterans, service members, and military families.
Nerita is an active volunteer with the Veteran and Family Assistance Center and other military-serving organizations, contributing her time and expertise to operations, events, and family support initiatives. A Master Resilience Trainer, Peer Support Specialist, and ASIST-trained facilitator, she brings a deep understanding of military culture, compassionate leadership, and a lifelong commitment to service, making her a strong advocate and trusted voice for veterans and their families.
